Little to say, on purpose.
Effective: 28 August 2026
Your fasting record stays on your phone
Everything you do in FastDown — your fasting history, streaks, badges, reminder settings, and the app's usage log — is stored only on your device. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no server that holds your data. Delete the app and that data is gone.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which features are used, FastDown sends anonymized usage counts to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These signals contain event names, the surface an action came from, and coarse buckets (for example "a 16-hour window was finished, overtime under an hour"). They never contain your fasting record, timestamps of your fasts, exact times of day, your name, or anything that identifies you. TelemetryDeck double-anonymizes identifiers and does not track users across apps.
You can turn this off at any time with the ANONYMOUS USAGE STATS switch on the app's main screen. Off means nothing is sent, at all.
What we never do
- No selling or sharing of personal data — we hold none to sell.
- No advertising, no trackers, no fingerprinting.
- No health data leaves your device. Window lengths are settings you pick, not medical measurements, and they stay local.
Notifications
Reminders (window-close alerts, the optional daily nudge, optional encouragement) are scheduled locally on your device and can be disabled in iOS Settings or in the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
